Who is eligible to apply?

To apply for admission to the Montgomery Leadership Program, students must have 60 earned credit hours (junior or senior) and be in good standing with the university. Applicants must also have (and maintain) a 2.75 cumulative grade point average and be in good standing with the Code of Student Conduct. Applicants must also commit to completing the two-semester immersive program.

When can I apply?

Applications are accepted online during the Spring and Fall semesters, and a new class of Montgomery Leadership "Scholars" begins each August and January. 

How are Scholars Chosen?

Montgomery Leadership Scholars are selected based on their recognized academic, leadership, and character traits. After completing the online application, a selection committee reviews the student applications. Selected applicants then complete a group interview process. A staff member will notify students of their admission into the Montgomery Leadership Program within two weeks of their interview.

Thus far, over 300 MLP Scholars have graduated from the program. Our core values include a strong commitment to ethics, integrity, courage, impeccable character, and motivating others to achieve the extraordinary. You'll be asked to commit your time to the learning and service opportunities the program offers and to commit personally to these values.
